I've really been slacking on the blog front. I always tell myself I need to update, yet, it somehow still doesn't happen. When I look back through my June blogs, I realized I haven't really blogged all the life happenings. So in attempt of catching up, I will back up and take a look at June!
Although at times it seemed as if June was going to be never ending, it went by really quick! I spent the most of my time working as we were swamped with baseball games, camps, and special events. I'd like to say that it's starting to slow down, yet July will only be that much busier. We'll be ending our baseball season mid-July and having our end of the season party, yet at the same time will be starting Soccer, Flag Football, and Cheerleading. Not to mention our other programs that are continuously running and we'll be adding a fishing class as well! WHEW! I'm already tired just thinking about it! In the mean time, I do try to have a "Life outside of work" as much as possible, yet it seems to only be getting harder with all of the responsibilities that come with living "on your own" and having a pup that does need my love and attention. Playing softball has been my one thing that I can count on to making sure I do something for myself in the midst of all the craziness. I always do my best to have at least one night out with the girls a week as well, even if it is just dinner and a movie. This month I went to see Bridemaids while also finding the "best" Mexican food and margarita Fairbanks has to offer. Coming from San Antonio, we obviously have a high standard for not only our Mexican food, but our MARGARITAS. This has been hard to find since we've been in Alaska. We've hit up most of the places in town and as they are "doable" it's just not the same. But, this one will do. For now. I also had a large work function that I attended this month. It was for our entire organization. We were fed, entertained, and some of us, even awarded. I received a Commander's coin for as they stated, "Being an All-Star!" It's the little things that make you feel appreciated and realize you actually are making a difference. Other than that, there were friend hang outs and lots of walks with Duke. OH! And Mom and Dad came to visit!! But that deserves a whole post to itself!
| My one and only pic from softball so far, I promise I'll start taking more! |

| Daddy, can I please have a new, bigger pool? |
And a little update on B. He has successfully moved to his new FOB. His guys and him work long shifts, which causes for him to be a very tired boy. But it has been nice to have some sort of consistency back for the both of us. Please continue to pray for all of our soldiers safety, as it is not a stable place for them to be. Unfortunately B lost another classmate this past week. The 2009 class is really taking a beating right now and could use your continued thoughts and prayers!
Love and Strength,
Lindsey
